Team Mission • Review the materials certification process (preconstruction, during construction, and post-construction) to identify and eliminate non-conformities in process • Primary Focus: Identify ways to reduce the lead time from Substantially Complete through Materials Certification (signed DT1310) to 45 days.

Lessons Learned • Communication is Key! • Resolving issues at lowest level reduces the risk of issues being handled later in the process • Material Specifications include a large amount of requirements making the materials certification process very complicated. • Bar coding and scanning technologies need to be researched to determine what impact there could be on improving the materials certification process.
