  4. I spent yesterday, with my dad, painting my bathroom. Driving slowly, he didn’t get there until noon. Until we finish. I have to live in a mess!! I don’t mind. Because my dad makes me laugh. When it’s finished, I’m going to buy him a gift card to Home Depot.

Read the article First Word….Last Word • Read the article and track your thinking. • Choose 3 spots in the article that sticks out to you for some reason, and highlight it. • In your groups, one person shares what they highlighted DO NOT SAY WHY!!! • Go around the table, each person comments until it ‘s back to the first person and they EXPLAIN WHY THEY HIGHLIGHTED. • Repeat number 4 for each person.
