Excelling in Academics • Pre-Kindergarten classes • Parents are more than pleased with our Pre-K program; On a recent parent survey the satisfaction rate ranged from 4.75 to 5 on a 5-point scale • Our former Pre-K students are performing at a higher level on state testing than those students who did not attend Chambers County Pre-K
Excelling in Academics: Pre-K & Kindergarten Alabama’s First Lady, Patsy Riley, reading to kindergarten students at Huguley Elementary. Dancing and singing are used as interactive learning techniques in our pre-k classes.

Excelling in Academics: Career Technical Education The Chambers County Career Technical Center provides high school students the opportunity to apply academic skills taught in the traditional setting to a real world career oriented contextual setting. The center offers technical education in automotive service technology, health science, architecture and construction, environmental management/aqua-culture, cosmetology, teacher education, business/marketing, information technology and industrial services technology.

Excelling in Academics: Dual Enrollment • Career Tech high school students have the opportunity to go to Southern Union State Community College or West Georgia Technical College to take career tech electives that earn them college credits.
Extracurricular Activities The LaFayette High School band playing at the open house of the new band facility Chambers County Schools supported the American Cancer Society as the top fund raiser for Relay for Life. J. P. Powell Middle School was the top fundraising (per student) school.
