Presidential Election • To nominate a Presidential Candidate: • a party needs at least 25% of the popular vote in parliamentary elections—or 20% of the seats • First Round July 9, 2014 • Pres/VP combo wins with • 50 percent of the vote nationwide; and • more than 20 percent of the vote in over half the provinces  • If no one achieves this in first round, second round held between top two candidates (September if necessary)
