The forces of impact • Jaime got out of her car and started shaking. She couldn’t believe she was OK-her car certainly wasn’t. An officer came over to her and asked if she was injured. Jaime told him her chest hurt from the seat belt and her neck hurt, but other than that she felt fine. Her car was a ‘vintage’ 1978 Ford, with fixed seatbelts and no air bags. The officer called for an ambulance to take her to the emergency room as a precaution.
