  2. Some of common problems and their quick fixes A core drill is a device specifically designed for drilling holes into materials by removing varying sizes of cylindrical parts of that material called the core. Utilizing this equipment can be a bit of a task and, especially in the hand of non-experts, some problems might occur along the line. 1. Ineffective Drilling Clogged Drill Stuck Drill Bits

  3. Ineffective Drilling Probably the most common problem people encounter, ineffective drilling can be caused by quite a number of reasons with the biggest of them being a faulty core drill. If this is the case, don’t fret. All you need to do is get that drill looked into and fixed. Sometimes though, the drill is not the problem. Sometimes it’s an inadequate supply of power or compressed air to the drill, both of which would lead to the drill being slow and thus ineffective. Fixing this is a little easier. All you need to do is connect the drill to an outlet with the right supply of electricity and make sure there are no objects resting on the drill’s hose. It is also possible that the feed pressure used for the drilling process is much lower than what is required, in which case, all you have to do is adjust the regulator knob to increase the feed pressure.

  4. Clogged Drill It is not unheard of that a drill gets clogged by debris during the core drilling process. To fix this, all you need to do is retract the drill and clean the areas surrounding the drill bit making sure to remove anything that isn’t supposed to be there.

  5. Stuck Drill Bits The drill bit of a core drill is the part of the equipment that drills into materials. A common core drill problem occurs when the core bit gets stuck into the material one is trying to drill into. This is usually caused by one of 2 reasons. The first is when the core drill being used is damaged, in which case, all you need to do is get the drill replaced or fixed. The second reason is that the feed pressure being used for the drilling process is higher than necessary, in which case, all you need to do is reduce the pressure a bit.
