DreamWorks Animation SKG, Inc. is an American animation studio based in California. • It creates animated feature films, TV programs and online virtual worlds. • Released a total of 27 feature films including Shrek, Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda, Monsters vs. Aliens, etc • As of June 2013, its feature films have made $11 billion worldwide,with its $430 million average gross surpassing all other studios besides Pixar ($595 million). • Three of DreamWorks Animation's films—Shrek 2, Shrek the Third, and Shrek Forever After—are among the 50 highest-grossing films. And fifteen of the films are among the 50 highest-grossing animated films, with Shrek 2 being the fourth all-time highest. • Even though the studio also made traditionally animated films earlier, all of their films now utilize computer-animation. • The studio has so far received two Academy Awards along with numerous Annie & Emmy Awards; as well as multiple Golden Globe & BAFTA nominations.

Blue Sky Studios is an American computer animation film studio based in Connecticut. • Founded in 1987 by the visual effects team behind Tron. • It is owned since 1997 by 2oth Century Fox. • Using its in-house rendering software, the studio had worked on visual effects for commercials and films, before releasing in 2002 its first animated film, Ice Age, and completely dedicated to producing animated films. • The studio has produced eight animated films, with Ice Age and Rio being the most successful franchises.
