Introduction • This Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) is developed annually by the Cape Cod Commission transportation staff on behalf of the Cape Cod Metropolitan Planning Organization, in accordance with the requirements in SAFETEA-LU and federal planning regulations. The UPWP describes all significant transportation planning activities planned on Cape Cod over the twelve (12) month period, regardless of lead organization and funding source Cape Cod Unified Planning Work Program

Management & Support of the Planning Process & Certification Activities • Coordinating MPO activities with local, regional, state & federal agencies • Maintain Public Participation Process • Environmental Justice (Title VI) Strategies • UPWP & TIP development • Planning for RTP update Cape Cod Unified Planning Work Program

  4. Task 2. Data Collection & Analysis Activities • Traffic Data • Performance Standards • Pavement Condition Data • Database Management • Geographic Information Systems • Updates to Transportation Analyses Models Cape Cod Unified Planning Work Program

  5. Task 3. Short- & Long-Range Transportation Planning • Congestion Management • Route 28 Hyannis-Centerville • Extended past October 2014 • Transportation Safety • Completed RSA for Route 151 at Barnstable Road in Mashpee • Completed RSA for Route 132 at Cape Cod Community College in Barnstable Cape Cod Unified Planning Work Program

  6. Task 3. Short- & Long-Range Transportation Planning (Cont.) • Realignment of Claire Saltonstall Bikeway • Will be completed before October 2014 • Climate Change Planning • Will be completed before October 2014 • Follow up on Previous Studies Cape Cod Unified Planning Work Program
