Projects for which Feasibility Study Completed • Feasibility study reports considered by the BOD on 26.03.2019 • BOD resolved that GoH should be approached for deciding 01 Priority projects for taking up for DPR • GoH has assigned Priority-1 for JindHisar Project (46 Kms) and Priority-2 for Karnal-Yamunanagar Project (66 Kms) and to undertake DPR of these 02 projects • Tender for DPR of above projects is under process

  14. HORC Project Objectives

MainFeatures of the Project • Output • Freight and passenger transportation bypassing Delhi with connectivity to all Indian Railway Routes as well as DFC network. • The design capacity of the project is 100 Million Tons (MT) annually each way. • The design capacity includes 60 MT freight and 40 million passengers (01 passenger equivalent to 01 Tonne) annually each way.

MainFeatures of the Project B) Outcome • Decongestion of Delhi, by diverting the traffic not originated/ destined for Delhi. • Pollution control and Environmental protection: This project will help in shifting the traffic in Delhi NCR area from road traffic to electrified railway traffic, which will have almost zero pollution. • Efficient land use: The land of this area being highly fertile, the efficient land use will minimize the adverse social impact. • Logistics: This project will serve the major Logistic Hubs and also encourage development of new logistic hubs and market yards. • Employment Generation
