  2. What are interactive books/talking books?

What can Interactive storybooks do? • They let language elements to be read out loud to students. • Help children learn words/learn how to read. • They let students sometimes choose different endings. • They can let students choose what part of the book they would like to be read first. • They can get your child/student really interested in what they are reading.

  4. Why would people use interactive books or talking books? • People might would use interactive books on a CD/DVD or on an internet site because they don’t want to be wasteful and use paper. • Most of the time, these interactive books and even talking books make things much more interesting for the reader. This makes them want to read more. • These things are more often used now days because more people are becoming more technologically advanced.

  5. What are ways that books are “interactive?” This interactive book on the left shows how you can touch something that looks like an egg in the egg book. This is only one of the many ways that someone can be interactive with an interactive book. Interactive books can have buttons that make sounds, or even be on a computer that reads the books to you.

  6. Interactive books • Interactive books are books that can be found online, on a CD, or on a DVD. • They are only interactive if you are allowed to do something with them besides only reading them.
