SNF Scholarships • For over 20 years, SNF has been raising funds to provide SNA members the opportunity to achieve their higher education goals through a wide variety of scholarships. • To date, SNF has awarded members over $1.6 million in scholarships.
How to Apply • Check www.schoolnutrition.org/scholarships often to find out when scholarships can be entered! • Currently open: GED Jump Start Scholarship (no application deadline) • Online applications available

Heart of the Program Award Recognizes the valuable contributions of school nutrition employees
Current SNA members in the School Nutrition or Child Care Employee section • Currently SNA-certified • Currently employed in a school foodservice or childcare nutrition program Who can be nominated?
How are winners recognized? All winners will be recognized at an awards ceremony at SNA’s Annual National Conference and will receive prizes from SNA.
Only one person per school may be nominated for the state competition each year. Managers and directors are not eligible to be nominated or win this award. Self-nominations will not be accepted. Restrictions
Nominations must be submitted by March 1, 2014 to the State President. Timeline
Louise Sublette Award of Excellence in School Nutrition Recognizes the valuable contributions of school nutrition managers
Currently an SNA member in the Currently SNA-Certified • Currently employed in a child nutrition program as a Foodservice/Nutrition Manager/Head Cook/Assistant Manager/Child Care Manager • Assigned to either one school or to a central kitchen that serves multiple schools. Who can apply?
How are winners recognized? All winners will be recognized at an awards ceremony at SNA’s Annual National Conference and will receive prizes from SNA.
Employees and directors are not eligible to apply or win this award. Applications submitted by the applicant’s peer or supervisor will not be accepted. National winners may not submit the same project again. Restrictions
Letter of Intent must be submitted by December 1, 2013. Applications must be submitted by March 1, 2014 to the State President. Timeline
Outstanding Director of the Year Award Recognizes the valuable contributions of school nutrition directors
SNA Member currently and for the past five years (in the District Director or Major City Director sections) • Currently SNA Certified OR SNS Credentialed • Has served in at least one position on the state or national executive board OR has served as a member on a state or national committee Who can be nominated?
How are winners recognized? All winners will be recognized at an awards ceremony at SNA’s Annual National Conference and will receive prizes from SNA.
Employees and managers are not eligible to be nominated or win this award. Self-nominations will not be accepted. Previous national winners of the Outstanding Director of the Year Award are not eligible to be nominated for or win this award again. Restrictions
