  2. Introduction • A good and godly wife is a great blessing while a woman who shames her husband is a pestilent curse: • An excellent wife is the crown of her husband, but she who shames him is like rottenness in his bones (Prov. 12:4).

  3. Contrasts • The Bible sharply contrasts the godly woman and the wicked woman. • The former is quiet and submissive, gracious and wise (Prov. 11:16; 14:1; Eph. 5:22-33; 1 Pet. 3:1-6). • The latter is boisterous and rebellious, naïve and foolish (Prov. 9:13; 14:1).
