  2. Introduction • I chose the Mars Rover for my project because I always found it really cool to see what's in space. Not everyone in the world is a astronaut and could see these types of things. I chose the Mars Rover also because I think it would a good experience making a model of a rover. I never did anything like this in my whole life. I think the Mars Rover will be very fun to make and I am looking forward to it.

Facts: • The Mars Rover is solar powered • Ion battery providing the rover 140 watts on Mars surface. • The Mars rover weights 384 pounds without any equipment (equipment weights 2,341 pounds) • The Mars rover landing base is as cold as -100 degrees Celsius. • The Mars rover costs about 820 million dollars, $645 million of spacecraft development and tools, $100 million to launch and $75 million operations and processing. • The Mars rover was launched in November 26 2011.

Mars rovers are more useful than stationary landers because: they examine more territory, they know were interesting features are on Mars and they can advance In knowledge of how to perform robotic vehicle controls.

  6. Last thought’s • I think the Mars rover was a very frustratingly/fun project. It was a little hard to make the rover but I still managed to do it. The Mars rover was fun to research because there was a lot of things I did not know about like: the Mars rover see’s thermal, It cost $820 million, e.t.c. All in all the Mars rover was a fun project.
