Culture • is the interaction of a variety of systems: political, physical, ethical (moral), socioeconomic, ecological, and theological • that shape the beliefs, values, traditions, and behaviors of a group of people who generally live in a similar geographical region.
Society • is a self-reproducing grouping of individuals occupying a particular territory, which may have its own distinctive culture and institutions. The following three components are common to all definitions of society: • Social networks • Criteria for membership, and • Characteristic patterns of organization
Justice • is treating people fairly and with respect. • Catholics understand justice as the establishment of loving relationships among human beings, God, and creation so that life can flourish
Social Justice • refers to conceptions of justice applied to an entire society. That is to say, it refers to the idea of a just society, which gives individuals and groups fair treatment and a just share of the benefits of society such as wealth and resources. • Social justice is also a concept used to describe the movement towards a socially just world. In this context, social justice is based on the idea of human rights and equality for everyone, in every country and at every level of society.
