  4. Breast Cancer Screening Saves Lives At what age should women begin having mammograms? 50 55 40 Women 50 and over need a mammogram at least every 2 years.

  5. Reduce your risk of cancer Be a healthy weight Eat a variety of healthy foods Stay active and maintain a healthy weight Avoid or limit alcohol

  6. Reduce your risk of cancer Quit smoking and avoid second-hand smoke Protect yourself from the sun and exposure to artificial tanning equipment Get immunized

  7. Reduce your risk of cancer Participate in recommended cancerscreening programs.

  8. Talk to your health careprovider or local public health unit about ways to reduce your risk of cancer.
