2) ? • Separates debris from air taken in during operation • Does NOT separate water! • Affects engine performance & life • Most cost effective service part found on any engine • May use a pre-cleaner • Various shapes and sizes • Constructed of many different materials
3) ? • Mixes fuel with air to provide a combustible gas • Depending on specific application a carburetor may be Up-draft, Down-draft, or Side-draft • Can be found on fuel tank, but…. • Will always be fixed to an intake manifold that is fixed to the cylinder head or block • May have multiple jets or “barrels” that regulate fuel consumption • Will have either manual or electric choke
4) ? • Part of the ignition system that provides a “spark” to ignite fuel/air mixture during powerstroke • Commonly misunderstood and misdiagnosed part • Comes in many lengths and heat ranges • Not all spark plugs are created equal
