Attendance • It is important for our 3rd graders to be in class and on time each day– 7:25 cut off for Cafeteria. 7:30 is the tardy bell. We have a new system called “Door Bell” and our doors will lock at this time and parents will need to “buzz-in” and provide a photo id to gain access to the school, this is something new for safety purposes. • Our school has the opportunity to receive a state distinction this year if we all focus on attendance together. • Giving work out ahead of time is against the grading policy. Work can be made up based on days missed.
Curriculum Highlights – Math • Place Value, Fractions, Addition and Subtraction • Multiplication and Division • Geometry and Measurement • Algebraic Reasoning and Problem-Solving • Data Analysis and Personal Finance • Math 4 Today and Practice Our Problem Solving (POPS) will be completed daily. • On Thursdays, your child will bring home their Math 4 Today/POPS for the week to review for Friday’s Checkpoint. Please review this paper with your child and sign it, and your child will earn Champ Change the next day.
