I am a sheep. I need a Shepherd. We are all sheep. Jesus is my Shepherd. My Shepherd helps me in good times. My Shepherd helps me in good times. My Shepherd helps me in good times. My Shepherd helps me in bad times. My Shepherd helps me in bad times. My Shepherd helps me in bad times.

Let’s review. • I am a sheep. • I need a shepherd. • Jesus is my Shepherd. • My Shepherd helps me in good times and bad. • My Shepherd will guide me along the right paths.
Psalm 23. The Lord is my shepherd,
He refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.
We are talking about the paths in our lives, not a real maze. • Who should I pick for friends? • How should I act when people pick on me? • Should I laugh at that joke? • Should I pray about my sadness? • Should I change jobs? • Should I do what my staff or parents say?
Remember Psalm 23. He guides me along the right paths for His name’s sake.
Why do we want God to guide us?Can’t I just make up my own mind?
Life is like being in a cave, can you really find your way safely without a light?
Could you really cross that bridge safely in the dark? Could you even find the bridge in the dark? I don’t think I could.
We lead others to Jesus by our words and actions.
Let’s pray. Lord, guide me along the right paths and help me lead others by telling them about you. Amen.
For my shepherd gently guides me, Knows my needs and well provides me,
Day by day, at home, away, Jesus is my staff and stay. When I hunger Jesus feeds me, into pleasant pastures leads me;
And when my short life is ended, By His angel hosts attended, He shall fold me to His breast, There within His arms to rest.
