  3. Culture Indian culture is one of the most distinguished and unique cultures in the world and have many rich and beautiful customs that come with it. These includes their: • Food • Religion • Clothes • Festivities • Music • Cast system

  4. Main Ingredients • Paprika • Curry powder • Chili • Tamarind • Rice • Atta (whole wheat flour) • Pepper • Black Mustard • Ghee • oil (some of the most common are mustard , coconut, peanut.)

  5. Typical food • Curry • Samosa • Coconut truffles • Salads • Tanduri chicken • Snacks • breads

  6. Ways Of Serving Food The majority of Indians are used to eat with a piece of naan (bread ) and a spoon. The curry is used to be served in a metal plate with three main division, one is about half the plate (for rice), with the rest of it divided in two other division for different curries, most of the time one made of vegetables and the other made of with meat. Chappatti (a very common kind of naan)

Religion • Most of Indian people are Hindus and believe in Brahman, their supreme god. • They consider the cows sacred and can not harm them, so they do not eat beef but still drink milk and other dairy products such as cheese, yoghurt etc. • There is an Indian goddess that is commonly associate with food, Ganesha, The Elephant-Headed Goddess. She is deity Joy, Food and Luck. Is well-known for being very glutton

  8. Clothes Indians have a very special way of dressing, including distinct garments for men and women. For women it would be: • Sari • Dress • Pants • Scarf • Bindi • Gold jewelry • For men it would be: • Tunic • Pants/churidar • Turban

  9. Music and festivities In India people celebrate many festivities throughout the year and greatly enjoy doing so. They have many celebrations including those of: • The elephant march • Pongal • Ganeshchaturthi Because of all these celebrations people have a great interests in music and dance… as they much enjoy dancing to the beat of music in many celebrations apart from just showing joy.
