Leonardo da Vinci Leonardo di ser Pieroda Vinci (Leonardo da Vinci) was born 15th April, 1452 and died 2nd May, 1519 at the age of 67. Leonardo was a painter, sculptor, architect, musician, scientist, mathematician, engineer, writer and much more than that. He painted the Mona Lisa and The Last Supper, which are the most famous paintings of all time. Leonardo studies in science and engineering which are as impressive as his artistic work. He tried to understand the phenomenon by describing in utmost detail. Later on in 1502, he produced a drawing of a single span bridge of a civil engineering project for Ottoman Sultan Beyazid II of Istanbul. Most of his life he very, very fascinated by the phenomenon of flight. He produced many studies of flight of birds. Leonardo worked in these places: Rome, Bologna and Venice. The last years, he spent was in France.
