Pierre-Auguste Renoir • Born in Limoges, Haute-Vienne, France- Feb 25, 1841 • Died- December 3rd 1919 • Born into a work class family. • In 1862 while studying under Charles Gleyre he met Sisley, Monet and Bazille. • First started exhibiting in 1864 but only really got recognized 10 years later • In the 1880’s he travelled a lot. Locations including: Algeria, Spain, Italy and English territory (Guernsey) • In 1890 he married AlineVictorineCharigot, whom he already had a child with. They had 3 sons together. • In late age, regardless of arthritis and other illnesses he continued to create are until his death.
