  3. Project Background Constantly, new and advanced technologies are being introduced into the automotive world. Autonomous and Electric Vehicles are becoming more in sight every day as society wishes for cars that will lead to no accidents and several countries want to stop the sale of gasoline. However, autonomous and electric vehicles cannot just be incorporated into society with no consequences. The new features that come with Autonomous and Electric vehicles must be handled in a way that does not put drivers and pedestrians at risk. ‹#›

Delphi provides solutions for electrical, electronic, and safety to the automotive market worldwide. Delphi operates over 100 manufacturing facilities across 46 countries with approximately 166,000 employees. Delphi operates through two business segments: electrical and electronics and safety. ‹#›

Customer Needs •• Autonomous Vehicles A safer drive after the whole day works,that is the autonomous vehicle should decrease the daily pressure of people, to bring the users a better life quality. With the connection between vehicles, perhaps the speed limit and the transportation volume would be increased as well. ‹#›

  6. Customer Needs •• Electric Vehicles Electric Vehicles would save customers money and time by getting rid of the need to go to gas stations. Electric Vehicles are also a cleaner alternative than gas and better for the environment, which would benefit everyone. ‹#›

  7. Critical Issues •• Autonomous Vehicles It is hard to have all the informations among the world, and the driving and traffic habits may be varied due to the differences between places. At the same time, the liability of accidents is also a main part of problems facing the designers. To reach the on-time feed back like human input is challenging the speed of the information observers and the speed of on time communication inside the vehicle. ‹#›

Critical Issues •• Electric Vehicles The main complaints that arise with electric vehicles are the cost of the vehicles, the scarcity of charging stations, and the short-life of the batteries in these vehicles. However, with technology advancing, improvements are being made every day to the lithium-ion batteries currently used in electric vehicles to make them cheaper and also new battery types are being discovered that have longer battery life. Charging stations are expected to increase worldwide by 2020 to benefit customers. ‹#›

  9. Conclusions Green: • DELPHI envisions a world with 50% less emissions. This can be made possible through electric vehicles: vehicles that have batteries that get rid of the need for gasoline, a limited natural resource. Safety: Autonomous Vehicles • The driving safety of the autonomous system is all about reducing the traffic accidents rates, with the involving with AR technology, our system could generate the surrounding much more easier and fast, getting the informations from surrounding and compare the digitized datas with cloud big data would make the safety of this driving experiences in another level. • Electric Vehicles • The safety of electric vehicles has everything to do with the batteries used in these vehicles. Lithium-ion batteries have a tendency to catch on fire and explode, however DELPHI is taking steps to avoid these situations by exploring different types of batteries and introducing new component elements, such as circuit breakers, to stop this from happening. Connected: Autonomous vehicles Use and may use any number of different communication technologies (the V2 Cloud) to communicate with the driver and its surroundings, which include other cars (provided that they are also autonomous) and the infrastructure. ‹#›

  10. Recommendations Before electric and autonomous vehicles can be incorporated into society, several factors must be assessed first to ensure the safety of drivers and pedestrians. For electric vehicles, procedures must be established beforehand to ensure that the new batteries are safe during operation and during the charge cycle. ‹#›
