Short Term Grade • Change my questioning strategies with students critical thinking • Focus on encouraging students instead of praising. • Focus on the mathematical process students use to get to an answer, not just the answer itself • Encourage collaboration among students Help students understand that they can each other a resources

Solution to Anticipated Callenges Challenges • The principal may not agree with my new approach. • Parents nay not understand my methods • I do not own a computer • There may be some students who do not want to work thogether Solutions • I will share the courses manuals and my notes from this course with my principal • I will use my new word processing skills to create new sietter to inform parents of my new method • I will stey after school to use a computer in the school

  4. Time line Ii will successfully adopt 21st century teaching approach in my class room I will focus encouragement rather than praise SEPTEMBER JANUARY NOVEMBER MARCH I willI will focus on question skill I will work on creating collaborative group or pairs

Instructional Strategies and tasks • I will provide more opportunity for ftudents to answer question that require higher --- order thinking • I will provide students with time for group discussion • I will ask question that require student to explain how they came to an answer • I will allow students to gethar in rendomlyasign group or pair to discuss how to best solve mathematical problems
