  3. Ancient Greece cont… • The earliest Greek civilizations thrived nearly 4,000 years ago. • Their culture still lives on today in the arts, philosophy, science, math, literature, and politics. • The ancient Greeks were great builder, thinkers, philosophers, and military strategists.

They created many marvelous stories, myths, and fables that we enjoy today, like “Odysseus and the Terrible Sea” and “Circe”, a beautiful but evil enchantress. • Aesop’s Fables, written by Aesop, an ancient Greek, are still read and enjoyed all over the world.
