Materials Needed • A pencil • An eraser • A ruler • 2 pieces of paper
Let’s Practice! • First draw a 5x5 grid with ½ inch squares.
Next: draw something random inside that grid. Pretend it’s a drawing not a photograph.
Finally draw in your new (larger) drawing, but by following the squares.
Grid Project Requirements • You are going to take the photograph that you chose (or one from me) to enlarge as a grid drawing. • You may have more than just 5 squares in your grid (the 5 was just for the practice drawing). • You are going to create VALUE in each square of the grid using stippling, scumbling, smudging, and crosshatching. • Each square should have it’s own value type. • No value type should be touching another type.
