Showcasing Nurses’ & Midwives’ work This publication is a collaborative project supported by Hunter New England Area Health Service, University of Newcastle and University of New England Nurses and midwives do so much good work that is often untold and under-recognised. Writing for publication is a way of thinking about and reflecting on practice, expressing ideas and telling others about who we are and what we do. Types of Articles Handoveraims to • increase the profile of Nursing and Midwifery within our region, Nationally and internationally • Feature Articles • Discussion Articles • foster increased skill and confidence in writing for publication • Local Interest Articles • build a culture of evidence based practice, critical review and sharing through publication • Clinical Focus • provide a vehicle for dissemination of information and clinical change projects and innovations • Reflections on Practice • Student Contributions • showcase the writing of nurses and midwives either individually or in collaboration with other disciplines Published twice annually in May and November Nurses, midwives and students - Handover belongs to you, celebrate its launch and consider contributing to future editions!
