  2. auto- self • autobiography- an account of a person's life written by that person • autocorrelation- correlation between the elements of a series and others from the same series separated from them by a given interval. • autocrat-a ruler who has absolute power.

  3. auto- self • autonomous-having self-government, at least to a significant degree • autoimmune- of or relating to disease caused by antibodies or lymphocytes produced against substances naturally present in the body

  4. auto- self • autograph-a signature, esp. that of a celebrity written as a memento for an admirer • automation-the use of largely automatic equipment in a system of manufacturing or other production process

  5. auto- self • automobile- a road vehicle, typically with four wheels, powered by an internal combustion engine or electric motor and able to carry a small number of people. • autopilot-a device for keeping an aircraft on a set course without the intervention of the pilot
