Pent- five • pentamerous- having parts arranged in groups of five • pentagon- a plane figure with five straight sides and five angles • pentagram- a five-pointed star that is formed by drawing a continuous line in five straight segments, often used as a mystic and magical symbol.

Dec/Deci- ten/tenth • decimeter- a metric unit of length, equal to one tenth of a meter • decimate- kill, destroy, or remove a large percentage or part of • decapod- an order of crustaceans that includes shrimps, crabs, and lobsters. They have five pairs of walking legs and are typically marine. • decade- a period of ten years
