How to Improve your grades • Using what we learned about percentages, and how to determine value of each percentage point in terms of each grading periods total points available, calculate how many points you would need to earn in order to move your current P4 grade up to the next highest grade. Say from a D to a C. If you have a 62% now, how many points do you need to move up to a 70%.

How to calculate grade changes • P4 total points possible was 1009 • Multiply your percentage as a decimal by 1009 points to determine how many points you have earned by P4 marking period. • Using 62% as an example: 1009X 0.62 = 626r • 70% is your goal so 1009X 0.70 =706r • Goal 706-626 = 80points but points = 75% • 80÷ 0.75= 106.6666or 107points needed 
