Topology Benefits • Provides requested connection capacities for beneficiaries • SG/JP/HK intra-Asian ring for resilience • N and S routes to Europe for efficient routings and resilience • Transit via TransPAC2 to N America for direct N American traffic and additional back up to Europe • Utilises donors’ contributions effectively • Multiple hubs give flexibility for additional connections • Maximises use of EC funds • Principles supported by TEIN2 partners 20th APAN Meeting, Taipei 23/27 August 2005 TEIN-05-107 Slide 10
TEIN2 NOC • TEIN2 NOC service formally tendered under European procurement rules • Contract being awarded to Tsinghua University (CERNET NOC provider) • TEIN2 NOC to be based in Hong Kong • Co-operative working with APAN-NOC and other partner NOCs to be established 20th APAN Meeting, Taipei 23/27 August 2005 TEIN-05-107 Slide 11
