Features and Benefits • RECEIVE FULL TUITION • RECEIVE MONTHLY STIPEND OVER $2,100.00: Payments will be provided for ten and one-half months of each school year • REQUIRED BOOKS, FEES & EQUIPMENT • ARMY OFFICER PAY: For the remaining month and a half of the school year, you will receive the full Second Lieutenant pay and allowances • BONUS of $20,000

What to expect during Medical School • United States Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) part 1 • Required to complete a 27 day Basic Officer Leadership Course (BOLC) between 1st and 2nd year (about $6,000) • Shadow a doctor between 2nd and 3rd year • Clinical rotations during 3rd and 4th yr USMLE part 2 • The Army has a 90 percent match rate

  5. Pay while in Medical School • $2,157(Stipend) x 10.5 months= $22,648.00 • $2,784.00 (ADT) x 1.5 months = $4,176.00 • $1,233.00 (Housing) x 1.5 months = $1,849.50* • $223.40 (Subsistence) x 1.5 months = $335.10* • Total pay and allowances per year: $ 29,008.60

  6. What to expect during residency • Increase in rank from 2LT-CPT • You are consider untrained until you complete residency (Will not deploy) • Your residency time counts towards your years in service. • Pay back time will start after residency

  7. Pay While in Residency • $4,951.80 (Captain Pay) x 12 months = $ 59,421.60 • $2,184.00 (Housing) x 12 months = $ 26,208.00* • $223.40 (Subsistence) x 12 months = $2,680.80* • Total pay and allowances per year: $ 88,310.40

  8. Medical Student Career Trajectory Medical Student Medical Resident Medical Professional 1 to 4 years, Sponsored by the US Army 3 to 7 years, at Military or Civilian Residency programs FYGME First yr of Graduate Medical Education Active Duty Service

Medical Student Career Trajectory • Military Residency: • Participants will be promoted to Captain, be assigned as a AD Soldier to a US Army Medical Hospital in a Graduate Medical Education program.11 teaching hospitals, 25 specialties, 72 residencies, 59 fellowships • 95% first time board pass rate • 100% pass rate for 14 specialties last 3 years Medical Resident 3 to 7 years, at Military or Civilian Residency programs
