  1. Formación de los gametos masculinos. Anterozoides

  2. La doble fecundación. Una vez que el tubo polínico ha contactado con uno de los sacos embrionarios presentes en el ovario, ambos anterozoides pasan a su interior. Uno de ellos se fusiona con la oosfera y formará un núcleo (2n) que dará lugar al embrión; el otro se une con los dos núcleos centrales del saco embrionario formando un núcleo (3n) que dará lugar al tejido nutritivo de la semilla llamado: albumen o endospermo. Vemos que en el interior del saco embrionario se produce una doble fecundación. El núcleo vegetativo desaparece.
