The Current State of Affairs • Approximately 35 members • 5 Active members • Financially Sound: Fund balance as of April 30, 2014: $27,913 • Are awarding two $1,000 scholarships in 2014 • Participant in the Communities Showcase • Awarded “Entrepreneur of the Year” in years 2008-2013; no nominees in 2014 • Have hosted Student Unit members in past luncheons; no students applied in 2014 AAFCS 105th ANNUAL CONFERENCE & EXPOFamily & Consumer Sciences: Global Gateway to Healthy & Sustainable Families
AAFCS and the Race for Relevance In 2013 AAFCS identified numerous challenges that must be resolved in order for it to survive the future.
