  2. Troup Middle School • Troup ISD is a AA District in Northeast Texas, near Tyler • We have about 270 students in grades 6-8 • We average 80% of 8th graders taking Algebra I • 2010 Math TAKS Scores • 6th Grade Math: 86% • 7th Grade Math: 93% • 8th Grade Math: 99%

  4. American Estimator (spin off of monthly estimation contest) • Team selection -three to five student by grade level • Ten contest stations, five Thinking Spots, and Turn in station • Rotate after 60 seconds • Team Response Sheet • Prizes for winning team in each grade
