  7. Judaism and Christianity Judaism Christianity • 1st major monotheistic religion • Israelites • Moses = 10 Commandments • No one is above the law • Jesus = Messiah • Love, mercy, forgiveness • Salvation for the poor • Romans – view as a threat, then adopt
