  10. Rivington Pike • Rivingtonis in Bolton and is part of the West Peninne Moors. • Rivington is renowned for its beautiful terraced gardens, and was the home of Lord Leverhulme. • You can walk to the top of the Pike to witness breath taking views. • On a clear day you can see Blackpool Tower.

  11. The Pigeon tower • The tower was built in 1910 for Lord Leverhulme’s wife as a sewing room and a look out over the boating lake. • Rivington estate with its 400 acres of land was bought by Lord Leverhulme in the 1900 shortly after donating it to the public.

  12. Rivington terraced gardens The gardens at Rivingtonwas designed for Lord Leverhulme and is inspired by Japanese influences. The gardens are now grade ll listed currently owned by United Utilities and is open to the public.

  13. Rivington barn • The barn dates back to the 16th century and was used as an Anglo Saxon barn. In early 1700 the barn was used to shelter and feed animals. • Now the magnificent Grade II listed Barn is one of North West's most impressive and unique venues for weddings, social gatherings and corporate events.
