  2. To produce human offspring: male providing sperm and the female providing eggs • Male= reproductive system includes: testes in the scrotum, produce sperm, which is ejaculated in seminal fluid by the penis. • Female= eggs are produced in the ovaries but upon release once monthly the eggs travel through the fallopian tubes to the uterus. • Here is a better look: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TDW28qWBhzc Overview

  3. Vagina= A fibromuscular tubular tract which is the female sex organ and has two main functions; sexual intercourse and babies. •  The uterus- is a hollow, pear-shaped organ that is the home to develop a fetus. • Ovaries: The ovaries are small, oval-shaped glands that are located on either side of the uterus. The ovaries produce eggs and hormones. • Fallopian tubes: These are narrow tubes that are attached to the upper part of the uterus and serve as tunnels for the ova (egg cells) to travel from the ovaries to the uterus. Female Reproductive Organs and Functions

  4. Penis: This is the male organ used in sexual intercourse. • Urethra-the tube that transports semen and urine • Scrotum: This is the loose pouch-like sac of skin that hangs behind and below the penis. It contains the testicles (also called testes) • Testes: are responsible for making testosterone, the primary male sex hormone, and for generating sperm. Male Reproductive Organs and Functions

  5. Final Results of Reproduction: Development of Embryo
