UNIT 1 - Information How to test Testing correctly, three main components • Validity ‘test what you are supposed to be testing’ e.g. MSFT is a valid test for Endurance • Reliability ‘consistency’ e.g. retesting 3. Person being tested ‘make sure the individual is healthy enough to perform the test’
UNIT 1 - Information Who to Test • Testing is rigorous and aims to show an individual’s maximum performance • An individual must be in a condition to perform • When testing, the safety of the individual is most important • Checks of an individual’s health should be carried out before testing • Questionnaires and monitoring procedures support this process
