  2. PLANNING OF STATISTICAL INFORMATION before 2004г. Annuallythe Federal Programme of Statistical Workswas formulated, which after coordination with interested federal authorities was approved by the Government of the Russian Federation. At present time In accordance with the new Statute of Rosstat the formulation of the Federal Programme of Statistical Works is not envisaged. The composition of information and time of its presentation are regulatedonly by internal documents of Rosstat, namely the List (plan) of Statistical Works and Production Plan of Statistical Works of the Federal State Statistics Service. The new Law “On Official Statistical Accounting and System of State Statistics”envisages the approval of the Federal Plan of Statistical Works by the Government of the Russian Federation.

KINDS OF INFORMATION SERVICES PROVIDED BY THE STATE STATISTICS BODIES • presentation of official statistical information(summary statistical information presented in the framework of the List (plan) of Statistical Works) • presentation of data of business accounting(more than 150 million indicators by units; more than 406 thousand of aggregated indicators as a whole for Russia ) • information and statistical services rendered on orders of the users(services are rendered on a paid basis – the volume of rendered paid services in 2005 amounted to 495.3 million roubles)

Free of charge • To the state authorities, Bank of Russia, state extra budgetary funds - statistical data and official statistical publications of Rosstat envisaged by the List (plan) of Statistical Works of Rosstat. • To the users of Internet – most important indicators via Internet-site of Rosstat in the form of free access after official publication. • For payment • To the rest of the users– for payment, not covering completely the costs of information production, the costs of information include expenditure on its preparation and presentation to the users, excluding the expenditure of the Federal budget on the creation of the state information resources. PRESENTATION OF STATISTICAL INFORMATION TO THE USERS

Forms of presentation of information to the users • Official publications of Rosstat - annual (abstracts ) - operative information, monthly reports «Socio-economic Situation of Russia» , bulletins and other) • Placement of the site of Rosstat in Internet • Presentation of information on requests
