  2. What is IUI IUI is a type of artificial insemination technique used in infertiity treatment. In IUI sperms are treated (washed and concentrated) and placed directly into the woman's uterus around the time the ovary releases one or more eggs. The sperm is expected to swim into the fallopian tube and fertilize a waiting egg, resulting in a normal pregnancy.   3. IUI Treatment: Pre Procedure For success in the intrauterine insemination (IUI) procedure, timing needs to be carefully coordinated. • Monitoring for ovulation.
