  2. What did Brian do when he first saw the plane? • he was pulling himself along on the stabilizer and the elevator , then he thought about breaking in , he thought that the body was strong ,but it was thin , then he manage to enter with the head of his hacket

  3. How did he manage to get into the broken plane? • he bangs his fist against the plane, only to find that the plane's aluminum cover gives easily under the force , he pulls out his hachet , thinking that maybe he can use it to cut his way into the plane and, amazingly, it works—he quickly cuts a triangular hole in the plane's side.

  4. What shocked him when he first saw the pilot? • The picture of the dead pilot in his mind

  5. How did the survival bag in chapter 19 help him • It help him to get food and re-start the fire

  6. Towards the end (Epilogue) a new plane came and landed, how did it (plane) know that Brian was there.? • Brian finds a little electronic device it was emergency transmitter. He kept pressing it he thought it didn’t work , after a while Brian hears a roar above his head and then suddenly a bushplane with floats passes over him and glides to a stop on the lake and He tells Brian that he picked up the emergency transmission.

  7. summary of epilogue in 50-80 words • In the epilogue the narrator tells us that Brian had spent fifty-four days alone on the lake before being rescued. And the experience changes him in many ways. Physically, he's leaner and tougher than he was before. He's also far more observant, and far more thoughtful. He no longer takes any food for granted, and he continues to be amazed by the plentiful and abundant resources that are available to him back in his ordinary life , Despite a brief period of family unity and happiness when Brian is first rescued, Brian's family situation quickly returns to what it was before the crash. His father goes back to work in the oil fields and his mother keeps seeing the man in the station wagon. Brian is never able to tell his father about the man or tell him the secret about his mother's
