GUSTAR The verb ‘gustar’ is used in Spanish to convey the meaning “to like”. It’s literal meaning is “to be pleasing to”.
GUSTAR Examples: Me gusta la comida. = I like the food. The food is pleasing to me. Le gustanlaspelículas. = He likes the movies. The movies are pleasing to him.
GUSTAR The singular form of gustar is used when what is liked is singular. (gusta) Me gustael libro. = I like the book. The plural form of gustar is used when what is liked is plural. (gustan) Me gustanlos libros. = I like the books.
GUSTAR Put one of the pronouns before gustar to say who likes something: megusta(n) = I like nosgusta(n) = we like tegusta(n) = you like osgusta(n) = you all like (Sp) legusta(n) = he/she likes lesgusta(n) = they like you like (formal) you all like
