The Toronto Argonauts took possession of the football on their own 25 yard line. On their first play the threw the ball for a gain of 11 yards. On the next play they ran the ball but lost 2 yards. On the next play they were penalized 5 yards for going offside. They then ran the ball again for a gain of 25 yards. At what yard line are they now? Word Example
25 + 11 – 2 – 5 + 25 • = 25 + 11 + 25 – 2 – 5 • = 61 – 7 • = 54 • They are on their own 54 yard line.
