Definition of agility • Traditional definition: ability to change direction rapidly and accurately • Influenced by physical and biomechanical (running efficiency) qualities • Training also focused on these areas • Contemporary definition: a rapid, whole-body, change of direction or speed in response to a sport-specific stimulus • An open skill, perceptual skill
