  1. In the five years since the release of the Smartage (V70 system), Olympus has worked hard to win market share from well-established rivals in a highly price sensitive market. That price-sensitive market is continuing to expand, and sales are increasing in the low-end customer segment. In order to increase our share in this competitive and growing market, Olympus has developed a new video system featuring a simple, user-friendly design, low price, and all the reliability and quality associated with the Olympus brand. We are proud to introduce the new 150 system. To express all the potential we hope to activate in the market with this new system, we call it “ACTERA,” a nickname derived from the phrase “Active Era.”
