  9. Final Thought “The Iraq war is not an easy war to take either side on. And the fact of the matter was that this country as it does, every time it comes down to war, completely looses it’s sense of humor. And when we do that we become dangerously close to what we hate about our enemies. The terrorist is a person without humor at all, and we begin to act like this. And neither side, neither side knew exactly what they were talking about. I’ve reached a point where everything I see on television I think is a lie. I don’t believe anything anymore. Because if I believe one side, I go well fuck that’s crazy, and then I go to the other side and go their crazy too, and then it just doesn’t matter anymore. It just doesn’t fucking matter. So at least maintain your humor. And we didn’t. They actually came out with, they actually started to yell when we went to war, “Oh boy you know, if you’re against the war you might as well be for Saddam Hussein”. And that is bullshit. And that kind of crap got to stop. The god damn situation boils down to this, if you’re against the war that doesn’t mean that you are for the other side. If people show up with signs that say “GO IRAQ YOU FUCKERS” Then you go Holy Shit! And you beat the fuck out of them. But this is something you have to keep. Cause the enemy doesn’t have humor, and you always have to keep your humor.” Lewis Black
