Basketball Problem #2 SOLUTION B
Given: The Classroom Owen 241 Find: The number of basketballs required to fill this classroom.
We chose to estimate the volume of the classroom and then take the volume of the basketball and divide, finding the approximate number of basketballs that would fit in the room.
We assumed not only the dimensions of the room and the basketball but that the room was empty. We also assumed that the basketball was inflated.
We planned on taking the average of all the estimates because all of our estimates were different. 36000+ 52605+ 1172.34+ 20000 = 109777.34 109777.34 /4 = 27444 basketballs will fill the room.
