Bend Transit Plan • Outcomes • Updated Public Transit Plan (PTP) • Focused on fixed-route system • To be adopted as an element of the BMPO Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) and the City of Bend Transportation System Plan (TSP) • Future Land Use Opportunities Assessment • Assess existing land uses, land use plans, and public facilities along the transit corridors • Identify opportunities for in-fill and redevelopment and identify next steps to plan and implement those changes • Schedule: to be completed November 2012

Bend Transit Plan • Project Goals • To prepare for future community growth, and economic and demographic change • To identify the conditions and thresholds that will allow for expanded fixed route transit • To complete a broad, flexible public transit plan • To identify elements of a Complete Transit System for Bend • To identify partnership opportunities

Bend Sidewalk Program • City of Bend and Bend MPO staff developing a sidewalk program • Outcome – annual program focused on sidewalk infill and reconstruction of deteriorated sidewalks • Priority areas to serve (not in order): • Government buildings • Fixed route bus system stops • Schools • Hospital and major health care facilities • Recreation areas • Major shopping/retail centers • Major employment sites • Schedule: initial program to be completed this calendar year LINK
