Limitations of direct-mail advertising • Low response rate • Increasingly expensive to mail
Advantages of out-of-home media • Can be eye-catching • Audience may have no option to avoid ad • Additional medium for companies to reach target market
Limitations of out-of-home media • Difficult to measure effectiveness • Can be limited by government regulation • Message can get lost in clutter • May be hard to narrow message to target market
Expanding Internationally • Adapt promotional messages for each market • Tailor language/attire/gestures & advertising • Do not rely on literal translations
