Goal 1 – Enterprise Risk Management Facilitate effective decision making in the healthcare industry through the application of enterprise risk management. Strategies: 1.1 ASHRM will establish the core body of knowledge for enterprise risk management. 1.2 ASHRM will promote the use of enterprise risk management throughout the healthcare industry
Goal 2 – Patient Safety Advance patient safety through a value driven approach. Strategies: 2.1 ASHRM will advocate for laws and policies that benefit patients and enable healthcare to remain safe, viable, sustainable, and accessible. 2.2 ASHRM will lead and support members’ and stakeholders’ in implementing best practices in patient safety without compromise. 2.3 ASHRM will lead and support members’ ability to implement a value driven approach.
Goal 3 - Leadership Be recognized as an influential leader in healthcare enterprise risk management. Strategies: 3.1ASHRM will collaborate with targeted, high-impact individuals and organizations that align with or advance ASHRM’s vision and mission. 3.2 ASHRM will become the premier source of evidence-based healthcare risk management research and theory. 3.3 ASHRM will be recognized for its exceptional programs, services, and advances in healthcare enterprise risk management.
Goal 4 – Governance & Organizational Effectiveness Have an effective governance and operational infrastructure to ensure necessary resources for execution of its strategic plan. Strategies: 4.1 ASHRM will have a strong volunteer and governance structure to support organizational sustainability. 4.2 ASHRM will continue to grow its membership. 4.3 ASHRM will have a strong internal infrastructure with necessary resources. 4.4 ASHRM will develop mutually beneficial collaborations between affiliated chapters.
